mù tóng qí huáng niú
牧 童 骑 黄 牛 ，
1. Shepherd boy rides on the yellow cow,

gē shēng zhèn lín yuè
歌 声 振 林 樾 。
2. His singing startles the woods and groves.

yì yù bǔ míng chán
意 欲 捕 鸣 蝉 ，
3. Intent on capturing the chirping cicadas,

hū rán bì kǒu lì
忽 然 闭 口 立 。
4. Suddenly he closes his mouth and stands still.
