6. All the connections in this life are the result of past lives’ cultivation. Therefore, we should believe that everyone we meet in this life has had profound connections in our previous lives. Those passers-by who brush past us might have been neighbors, tea friends, or even close friends or relatives in the past.
7. Life’s journey is like the wind, and we are but a tiny speck in it, perhaps a dust particle, a water droplet, or a flower petal. Yet, there is always a resting place that will take in our wandering selves. Because of this, when we see a courtyard wall covered with green vines, we think it is home; when we see a moss-covered ancient well, we believe there is water; when we see a half-open green curtained window, we think it is waiting for us.
8. What is love? Love is an unexpected encounter in the vast sea of people, a quiet window opened among the thousand lights, or a Bodhi tree in the dense forest. The path of cultivation is not as smooth as dancing sword flowers, but rather like a well-structured quatrain with beautiful imagery and rhythm.
9. From the moment of birth, it means moving away from purity and beginning to walk in the world of mortal dust. In the vast ocean of the world, we chase and search for the so-called home, but in fact, when has a person ever had a true hometown? We are all just temporarily staying, watching a few spring blossoms, and waiting for the new moon to become full. Staying is but a moment, and turning around leads to the ends of the earth.
10. No one can choose their hometown, whether it is born in the prosperous Jiangnan or growing up in the desolate frontier. This was predestined in a past life. Fate has arranged our origins and destinations; even if the place called “hometown” is not loved in our hearts, we cannot change its true existence. We can choose to migrate or be forced into exile, and all of this has already been predetermined. Always, we are just passers-by in the world, coming and going in the dust, you leave, and I stay, that’s all.
11. Not all interactions bring joy; over time, a heart of weariness will emerge. At that time, what we look forward to is parting, whether short or long, just willing to be apart. Never thought that one parting would become a lifetime. Always wanting to find an excuse to reunite, yet still being disappointed by the passing years, from now on, we can never meet again.
12. I am a Qingyi performer, my fate is like a chess piece manipulated by others. Thus, our encounter can only take place in a play. After singing “The Peach Blossom Fan” and “The Jade Hairpin,” it seems that time is just a simple cycle. I always thought that by removing the makeup of an actor, I could become as indifferent as a chrysanthemum. However, I unexpectedly ended up with longing like rain, turning a dream into an illness. One day, when the story in the play comes to an end, I won’t even be able to give you a ordinary embrace.
13. Life is full of emotions, so we are always willing to selflessly devote ourselves to some small, touching moments. Life can also be ruthless, as we desire a pure love in simple times, yet it often eludes us. After thousands of sails have passed, we just want to find a small boat, drifting east or west. Having met countless people, we only wish to find a confidant in our dreams.
14. If I were to leave, there would be no set date for our next meeting. I don’t know why, but every time I think of this sentence, a sense of desolation and heartache fills my heart. In one’s life, we have to go through too many farewells and partings. Those sudden departures often leave us unprepared and hurt. While we may meet again in different places, some turns in life truly mean never meeting again.
15. There are certain places we must visit in this life. Only by experiencing the distant landscapes and making our dreams a reality can we feel that our time on earth has not been in vain. But when we see the beauty of our dreams, can we truly remain silent and undisturbed? Little do we know that the settling of every speck of dust can disrupt the tranquility.
16. There is no need to follow the fragrance of the past; you are still the same person from yesterday. You have no memories related to me, yet you are the confidant of my life. You say that purity was your only beauty in the past, and aloofness is the theme of your present life. After witnessing the elegance of the white petals on the branches, I quietly await a sparse plum blossom rain. If my concern makes you feel lonely, I choose to forget and pretend not to remember, watching you breathe alone on the other side of the world.
17. In this life, there are always some people who are like stepping stones when you cross a river; like the fire needed to brew tea; like the streetlights illuminating your way home at night. But these people will eventually become passers-by, and even ourselves will one day return life to the passage of time. At that moment, where will our solitary shadows and traces be scattered?
18. If love is a play, then before the curtain falls, let us give up on each other and hold onto a lukewarm memory. In the days without you, I will be content; in the days without me, you must cherish yourself.
19. Some say that when people in love stay together, even time becomes beautiful. Those who utter such words must have experienced love, for only then can they truly understand the sweetness of possessing and being possessed. It seems as if mountains, rivers, and all living things are filled with emotions, and every inch of our skin can stretch and relax under the gentle breeze and bright moon. When in love, we feel like the happiest people in the world, with plain clothes and simple meals becoming beautiful and warm.
20. Great love is speechless. Buddhism teaches us to let go, to understand compassion, and to learn tolerance. By releasing creatures in a pond full of lotus flowers, we believe that our wishes in this life will be fulfilled. By lighting a butter lamp in front of the Buddha, we trust that even if we lose our way, we can find our path again. By turning the prayer wheel on the path of seeking Buddha, we believe that our ups and downs in life will become light as clouds and gentle as the wind.
21. Many years ago, I fell in love with two characters - cherish fate. I always felt that it is so difficult for people to meet, so we should all know how to cherish it. Any harm and missing are not worth forgiving. Even so, along the way, I have still missed many fates, and what I have is gradually lost. Not because I don’t cherish it, some fates are destined to be short or long. Coming like dew, going like lightning, what cannot be held is ultimately the fleeting beauty.
22. Only when one has endured loneliness can they regain the noise; having gone through all the sorrows can one see happiness again; after tasting all the bitterness, it will naturally return to sweetness. Believe in these, and you can face the ups and downs of life more calmly, through the four seasons of wind and frost. The speaker is casual, but life is, after all, a long process. Every inch of time must be experienced by oneself, and every cup of rain and dew must be tasted by oneself.
23. In the vast world, there are many ups and downs, and many vicissitudes. Everyone is walking towards their own direction in life. Along the way, the difficulties are unpredictable, but one must go on through wind and rain to fulfill a long-cherished wish and complete a certain fate. Whether it is complicated or simple, time is always so short or long, and we have nowhere to escape, nor do we need to escape.
24. Give me a piece of old time, sitting alone under the wooden window with green moss, brewing a pot of leisurely tea. Don’t care about when the southward-flying swallows can return home. Don’t ask where the small boat will be exiled. Don’t think about how much of the past years is true and how much is false. If possible, I just want to be a secluded plum blossom, guarding the lonely years, at the old ferry, watching the sunset and rosy clouds with a returning traveler.
25. Life is impermanent. I have heard too many tragic stories. No matter how strong a person you are, facing death is so vulnerable. Even if you believe in reincarnation, the matters of the afterlife are still unpredictable. Crossing the Naihe Bridge and drinking the Mengpo Soup, the love of this life is erased, even if we meet again in the afterlife, we won’t know who was the one engraved in our previous life. Cherish the fate, have the present, and if you can’t give too much warmth, don’t hurt either.
26. I think that people should get along with each other indifferently, and only a gentle, long-lasting relationship can maintain fate for a long time. Too strong emotions will always give rise to great joys and sorrows, and let fate end in a short period of time. If everyone exists quietly, without competing for beauty, without fighting for color, without seeking fame or profit, calm and kind. In this world, would there be no turmoil, no struggle? And people can live peacefully, quietly guarding the simple happiness in the passing years.
27. Meeting someone takes only a moment, but falling in love with someone can often be a lifetime. It is not a mistake to meet by chance, and it is not perfect to be together until the end of time. In the destined fate, we really have no other choice. I often think about being a clear and pure woman, a compassionate and kind woman, living a content life, not craving for much love, nor giving birth to much resentment. Regardless of wealth or poverty, happiness or sadness, treat them all equally.
28. Everyone has a hidden wound in their heart, a wound they don’t easily reveal to others and dare not touch lightly. They always hope to hide it in the deepest corner, covered by the moss of time, away from sunlight and rain, thinking that one day the wound will fade away with the passage of time. Perhaps it is true that time is the best medicine in the world, which can heal your wounds and make the once unforgettable love become blurred.
29. I once made a promise to be an ordinary woman in this life and listen to the Buddha’s teachings in the next life. But at this moment, I want to be a nameless pilgrim in the Potala Palace, walking alone on the long stone steps. Because I have a wish that every river, every green mountain, and every plant in this world can be inseparable. May the mountains and rivers be tranquil and beautiful, and the prosperous era last forever.
30. You are the cause I have sown, and who am I to be the result of someone else. With countless scenery in the world, we often cannot distinguish who is the cup of tea you want and who is your home through the vicissitudes of life. Some people seem very good but cannot withstand the wind and waves with you; some people seem like prodigals but are your true returnees. All of this will become clear when you encounter the obstacles in life.
31. Close the book and watch the clouds and sunset, the morning fog and smoke. In the bustling world, the heart is in the peony garden. If in this life, you meet a beautiful companion or a graceful gentleman, you must not miss this wonderful marriage of three lives. Remember, time is like clouds and smoke passing through the gap, so how can you waste this splendid era.
32. Gatherings will eventually disperse, and plays will eventually end. The beginning is the cause, and the end is the result. Encounters are reincarnations, and forgetting is perfection. Love and hate follow fate, and gains and losses are a smile. In this game of life, only you can grasp it, and only you can grasp it.
33. Watching a scene of worldly fireworks, everyone is eager to share it, and their infatuation brings an earlier silence. Like the brilliant fireworks, they burn fiercely, leaving behind a pile of cold remnants. I know their intentions, but I cannot be that passionate person, preferring to guard a blank memory and grow old in haste. I would rather not have a cinnabar mole on my heart, which cannot be eliminated until death.
34. What a hasty scene of falling leaves makes death so brilliant and calm. It is said that time is like a dream, and we are used to the spring breeze and autumn moon. The stories of life are essentially the same, but in the end, we cannot part with a beautiful encounter. The past is like a silent autumn red, and the flowing time is nothing more than the three tunes of plum blossoms. Even if the water dries up and the mountains are empty, the fallen leaves become nothing, the old years can still be graceful. Even if the years are hazy and the ends of the earth are far apart, we can still find the traces left behind in those years.
35. The world is vast, and a thousand years pass in a blink of an eye. In fact, humans have always been repeating the same stories, the same warmth, coldness, love, and hatred. Spring steaming and autumn tasting, days are built brick by brick, and in the end, no one can find which wall belongs to themselves.
36. Since such precious words have been spoken, there should be a beautiful parting. Before the curtain falls, hold hands one more time and look at each other once more. After that, whether you love or not, see or not, it doesn’t matter. I always thought that in the many interactions of life, any deep look back would doom oneself. In fact, the so-called deep love is nothing more than giving everything, forgetting time, forgetting oneself, and not leaving any way out for oneself.
37. Many people wish to live a life as smooth as flowing clouds and water, yet always find themselves in turbulent waves. Peaceful individuals, even after experiencing great changes, will remain unharmed. Sensitive souls, when encountering the slightest disturbance, will be left with a thousand wounds. Fate treats everyone equally, but how one manages their own life and emotions depends on their own nature.
38. What is life? It is in the early spring of March, watching a group of swallows carry mud to build nests in an ancient courtyard. It is in the cool summer, watching lotus flowers grow lonely in the water. It is in the windy late autumn, watching a fallen leaf quietly embrace a beautiful death. It is on a snowy winter night, watching a white fox disappear into the desolate mountains.
39. For some, life is inherently a sad affair, an unavoidable mistake. Like a beautiful butterfly that mistakenly falls into a spider’s web; a small boat crossing the river with a single reed, docking at the wrong harbor; a clean flower blooming in the wrong season.
40. It is said that human emotions are contagious. If you cannot influence someone, you will surely be influenced by them.
41. A man truly loves a woman when, in thirst, he offers her a glass of plain water; when the wind rises, he adds a light garment for her; when she is lonely, he gives her a gentle embrace; between life and death, he lets her live, and he dies.
42. Dreamlike Jiangnan forever falls like a dream in everyone’s heart. Countless hurried travelers meet in the landscapes, crossing from the willow-lined embankment to the shores of fireworks. Those who have visited this sentimental land find their originally indifferent hearts developing attachments. They always fall in love with the leisure of tasting tea in the misty rain pavilion, the laziness of dozing in the afternoon sun, the joy of a flower’s smile, and the romance of a fleeting moment.
43. Buddha says, let go of those who have lost their way for love, and forgive them, for to be tolerant of others is to be tolerant of oneself. Many traps in life are dug by our own hands, intending to capture others, yet often it is ourselves who fall in. The world has nets of dust, love, and fame and fortune; whatever you cannot part with will trap you. Life should be like this, with giving and taking, but without giving, it is difficult to receive. But who can be sure that what they gain will definitely be more than what they let go?
44. Many women in the world have once possessed this quiet and simple elegance, which was heart-stirring and beautifully untouchable. But since when have they learned to squander time, immersed in the dyeing vat of the mundane world? Who can still maintain such purity? It is said that only by experiencing all flavors can we live up to this single life. We should regard all complicated processes as a simple return and treat all worldly honors and disgraces as passing clouds and smoke.
45. Everyone who comes into this world is a hasty passerby. Some people, after meeting, are quickly forgotten; others, after brushing past, are inevitably remembered. All encounters and glances back are fate. When you fall in love with a certain silhouette or crave a certain gaze, it means that you have already become entangled in a romantic relationship.
46. Can’t go back, really can’t go back. Falling in love with this sentence was many years ago. Everyone who has experienced the vicissitudes of life has said and loved this sentence. Love is helpless, love hurts. How many relationships come and go in a hurry, and in the end, we all become the ones who pick up the past. Watching the hurried passers-by, and then saying the same sentence with a thousand regrets: Can’t go back, can’t go back.
47. Meeting in the woods, without asking the cause and effect. Running in the bustling crowd, you will suddenly find that those who agreed to join hands until the end of the world have already parted ways. Is there really a promise in this world that cannot be changed? Even between mountains and waters, heaven and earth, there will be a day when they grow tired of each other and feel weary. So, let go with a calm mind, and each follow their destiny. In this way, life becomes truly simple.
48. Who says that the living Buddha is born with divine power, able to control the wind and clouds, and capable of saving all living beings? In this vast world, sometimes even the Buddha cannot withstand a little wind and waves, because the law of cause and effect is hard to defy. When the heart aches, even the Buddha will shed tears.
49. True peace is not avoiding the noise of cars and horses, but cultivating a fence and planting chrysanthemums in the heart. Despite the flowing past, every day is still filled with the sound of waves, as long as we let go of our obsessions, we can be peaceful and safe. May everyone not lose their way in the ever-changing world, and be able to sit on the rock, intoxicated in front of the falling flowers.
50. Time always passes too quickly, and the past is unknown, covered with so much wind and frost. Yet, I remain the same as before, with this light makeup. It is not that the fleeting time takes care of me, but after witnessing the world’s comings and goings, I have already learned to forget. If reminiscing is destined to be just longing, why should I grieve for the distant yesterday? Guarding the coolness of a piece of moonlight, in the peaceful days, I am truly safe and sound.
51. There are many emotions in this world, all carrying too much helplessness, wanting to love but unable, wanting to give up but unable to bear. Who can sit calmly in the clouds, overlooking the world’s fireworks, and remain untouched by dust? Beautiful encounters in the earthly world always make it hard for you and me to restrain our emotions, but there has never been a fate that can truly last a lifetime.
52. You always say that I am indifferent, but you don’t know that I am just pretending to let the past fade away like smoke. Ever since I came to this world of fireworks, I have deeply understood that there is no forever in life. But still, I believe in cause and effect, and worldly connections, as always. Do you know, how much I want to erase all the past, just to meet you again in the vast sea of people, just to wait with you for the new moon to become full…
53. Sometimes, happiness is really around us, but you are blinded by sadness and sorrow, thinking that all joy and happiness are far away. God is fair, as it is a balanced scale, weighing the weight of human joys and sorrows. So, the cold and warmth are always evenly divided; when you are cold, warmth will be given to you. When you are sad, joy will be given to you.
54. This is an unscheduled moonlight, those affectionate pasts, gazing at my newly grown white hair from afar. You say that no matter how my appearance changes, I will always be the imagination in your dreams. The encounter of youth is a pure vastness; those stories that have lost their protagonists, should they really be forgotten?
55. There are always many stubborn people in this world, exchanging their nature and pouring deep emotions for a stream of clouds, a curtain of dreams, and a play. However, being infatuated is a lonely journey in itself. If one cannot bear the cold and thinness during this process, it is better not to start. Sometimes, being a person with emotions and righteousness can be more tiring than being indifferent and indifferent.
56. “Who was I before I was born, and who am I when I was born?” Everyone living in this world often发出 such bewildered sighs. We don’t know who we are, nor do we know who we are to others. Sometimes walking on the road, we always feel that some people we pass by seem familiar, but we can be sure that we have never met them in this life. Was there an encounter by the Forgetful River in a previous life? Or perhaps on the Helpless Bridge, we have also brushed shoulders.
57. Falling in love with a landscape is also like this; it’s just a fleeting encounter that needs a lifetime to remember. In fact, I am not a person who likes to wander. I am unwilling to walk desolately on the road, and even fear wandering like a duckweed without roots. What I long for is a sense of stability, even a small and simple room is enough to put down a soul tired of drifting.
58. Sometimes, waiting for a person for too long, we will forget their appearance and even their name. Sometimes, waiting for a lotus to bloom for too long, it makes the distinct seasons become blurred. But the lotus, after all, comes as promised every summer, while some people, no matter how much time you spend waiting, will never come.
59. Past emotions are like letters with nowhere to be delivered, and the crowded flow of people carries restless souls. Where should these hasty passers-by with backpacks find their own home? The blue sky seems to be about to shed tears, and the white clouds come and go without intention. Why do they still give us beauty?
60. We once were at the ferry of life, carried away by parting to different landscapes, heading towards an unpredictable future, and rushing forward without hesitation. We were thrown into the world of mortals, never thinking that there would be another ferry called “reunion.” There, peach blossoms bloom brilliantly in the spring, on the gorgeous branches, and our hearts have already reached a point where they are hard to part with.
61. If I could, I just want to marry an ordinary man, without the need for whispers of eternal promises, just knowing my heart, just, drawing my eyebrows for me throughout my life.
62. In this noisy world, we all need a place suitable for ourselves to settle our souls. It could be a quiet courtyard, a wordless scripture, or a labyrinthine path. As long as it is where our hearts lead, it is a post station, so that we won’t be so lost when we set off in the future.
63. We are always too immersed in the trivial fame and fortune, ignoring that there is so much beauty in life besides vanity. Such as the beautiful scenery in the world, the unchanging green mountains, and the endless rivers. This purity and grandeur have become the highest faith in everyone’s heart, placed in the most sacred corner, and not easily spoken to others.
64. Everyone longs to find a place for their soul to dwell in this life, where they can nurture emotions and settle down. Perhaps it is not their hometown, and they cannot see the simple and natural scenery of their childhood, but it is better than their hometown. If it can shelter a wandering traveler from the ends of the earth, it is enough to show that it has a broad and generous heart.
65. Perhaps in our previous lives, we were all performers, and in this life, we keep repeating a tragic play that is destined to end in sorrow.
66. The path we take is the journey back home; everyone must return to where they came from. The length of time is not within our control, and life is like the flowers on the branches, some fall early while others fall late.
67. Many things that seem to be possessed may not truly be ours, and those that appear to have left may not have really departed. If there is a fixed number for cause and effect, one day we will forget what needs to be forgotten, and those who are meant to meet again will do so. By then, the years may have passed in a chaotic cloud, and perhaps we will have adopted a different approach and mindset. For those who stroll in search of dreams, meeting on the crowded dusty path may feel unfamiliar or familiar, depending on the circumstances; some may rely on each other, while others may drift apart.
68. I have always been a person who sees things through from beginning to end. If I don’t want to start something, I won’t; but if I do, I will make sure to reach the end. The reason is my belief in cause and effect, and the cycle of life. There will be blooming flowers, and there will be withering ones; there will be beginnings, and there will be endings; there will be partings, and there will be reunions; there will be vast seas, and there will be fertile lands. Although everything has its rise and fall, we still don’t know how to cope with the ever-changing and impermanent life.
69. They say love is a journey of cultivation. Anyone who has read this statement will inevitably feel their heart stir. In the long yet short journey of life, all we can do is to cultivate ourselves along the way, ultimately achieving a so-called sense of completeness.
70. Over time, many people and events are inadvertently lost. As dusk approaches, soon it will be a sea of lights in the evening. Underneath those dim windows, how many new stories will be repeated, filled with tender sadness.
71. Countless unforgettable loves have been swept away by us into the dust. There will always be some memories that linger, never to be forgotten. We always desire something eternal, but how many are willing to believe in forever?
72. In one’s life, there are destined encounters that are meant to be missed. The person you walk hand in hand with may not be the tea you desire, but you still have to endure the bitterness and drink it down. So, the weariness between each other is not anyone’s fault, but rather the result of fate playing tricks, creating so many lovesick men and women who cannot have everything they wish for.
73. Perhaps there is a past, and maybe only in memories can we see each other again. The world is like mud, and I am in the deepest of it, meeting you and then parting in the light breeze and clouds. Perhaps I am still me, and you are still you. Maybe one day, in the chaotic world of mortals, we can still sense each other’s breath. Then I promise you, I will indulge in the most mundane of lives and never easily speak of separation again.
74. A person who once did not believe in destiny, after living for a long time, will be influenced by the cycle of spring and autumn, flowers blooming and withering, and start to believe in the idea of fate. When one reaches a certain age, all they pursue is peace and calmness. When they turn around in grandeur, the past becomes a romance they can never return to.
75. Since when did I become a woman who only bows down for plants, ignoring all the encounters among thousands of people, and the unbreakable promises in the clouds and waters of the past? It is only in a nostalgic plant that I have found everything once familiar and believe it to be the most peaceful belonging in the noisy world.
76. Not being together when you don’t love is a mistake, but being together when you love too much is equally a mistake.
77. Only later did I realize that every woman must go through a passionate process to reveal her extraordinary beauty and astonishing emotions. Her tranquility is not a self-imposed confinement, but walking alone in the world of purple roads and red dust, believing in fate.
78. In the past dreams and journey, there are not many people to miss. Let alone, it is too difficult to be deeply infatuated with someone. It is better to be a leisurely person who appreciates flowers, watching the deeply emotional woman, how she opens her gorgeous longing to the withered flowers, leaving a trace of fragrance to those who understand.
79. We are all weary people in this world, walking in the desolate crisscross roads, not knowing where we will eventually take root and where we will return. Once, I missed a splendid feast of colorful flowers for a gentle and elegant snowfall, becoming the only one absent.
80. All classics are tragedies, all love is a myth, and all happiness is a luxury. Flowers will eventually fall, and fate will eventually end.
81. We once had an agreement to walk through the world together, but in the end, we were still separated in the bewildering years. Perhaps someone at the crossroads could not resist the temptation of a hundred enchanting beauties and turned around hastily, leaving behind the vow of never leaving each other, forgetting the past moments of countless kindness and favor, just turning around resolutely…
82. The chaotic red flowers dance, and the ground is covered with fallen petals, creating an untidy scene that is hard to clean up, yet also a quiet and detached tranquility. Excessive sobriety makes people feel cold and indifferent; excessive intoxication makes people feel shallow and confused. Therefore, a perfect life should be half sober and half intoxicated.
83. If a person can remember the agreement of the previous life, even if they have to go through mountains and rivers and endure countless hardships in this life, they will still wait at the crossroads for the reunion. On the roads of time, there are countless people coming and going, as well as many unknown plants, and when the chaotic flowers dazzle the eyes, a turn can already be a missed encounter.
84. At that time, we said that one person is a poem, and two people are a painting. As time goes by, we begin to greedily love the colorful spring, always hoping that the days ahead will be full of spring every season.
85. No matter how you and I live, for ourselves or for others, we have all become chess pieces manipulated by the years, without even the right to choose between black and white. This does not mean that our lives are full of sorrow, but the world is full of ups and downs, and everyone needs to learn to protect themselves. Only when people are not hurt can they not hurt others; only when they are sober can they enlighten others; only when they love themselves can they love others.
86. To this day, we still cannot truly distinguish whether the falling flowers and flowing water are intentional or unintentional. Perhaps there is no such thing as affection, but just a chance encounter in the world of mortals, once separated, leaving no trace.
87. We like to mix a cup of emotions in ordinary days, where the joy and sorrow, sweetness and sourness can be adjusted according to our own taste. However, the tea of life does not allow us to brew it casually; if we lose the measure, it will become a bitter tea for a lifetime.
88. I believe that compassionate people are willing to wither into the mud, burn into ashes, and even if they are scattered in any corner of the world, they can still face it calmly. Life is but a dream, and we are merely directing ourselves in the dream and watching coldly from outside the dream, as if we were strangers to the people in the dream.
89. The things in this world can be taken seriously or not; the people in this world can be trusted completely or not at all. Everything depends on your own heart, which will tell you what to do, what to listen to, and what to like. As long as you do not distort others’ thoughts, interfere with their lives, or hinder their pursuits, that is the greatest compassion.
90. I have had a past and met in the deepest secular world before the flowers bloomed. I already understood that life is but a gathering of duckweed, and no one needs to be obsessed with a past like a lotus. I have had memories and experienced casual farewells before the flowers fell. I had already tasted a cup of tea until it was tasteless. Although the scriptures write of the reincarnation of three lives, we still cannot fathom the mysteries of fate.
91. Some say that falling in love with a city is because there is someone you like living in it. In fact, it is not the case. Falling in love with a city may be for a vivid scenery within the city, a green plum past, a familiar old house, or simply for the city itself. Just like falling in love with a person, sometimes there is no need for any reason, no cause, and no relation to romance; you just fall in love.
92. Isn’t the prosperous world also a cup of poison wine? You think you are already tired of it, but in fact, you always want to get drunk and indulge in pleasure. Waiting for a vibrant and colorful flower event is happiness; building dreams with someone you like under the sun is happiness; guarding a time of intertwined warmth and coldness and growing old slowly is also happiness.
93. If encounters always happen beyond mountains and rivers, it is better to wait peacefully at the ferry of life. Watch how fate rearranges the fate between you and me.
94. All encounters in life are the alternation of passers-by, and even if we didn’t miss them at first, we will eventually lose them after life and death. The saddest thing in life is to gain and lose again. It is better to devote one’s life to memories than to know that you are destined to lose in the future.
95. I like the cruel beauty and love the loneliness after prosperity. Watching a woman from her splendid years to her white-haired old age. Time flies so quickly, consuming her whole life of longing, and the long-lasting suffering and taste during that time can only be tasted by her alone. Love to the depths is so unbearable that when you are at a loss, how can you give others a simple sense of security?
96. Sometimes, standing in the crowded flow of people, a sense of inexplicable emotion will well up in my heart. I feel that life is not easy, and we should be warm for these vibrant lives and happy for the worldly fireworks. Maybe one day, we will all leave and never meet again. Knowing this, how can we bear to cause deep harm for some minor misses? How can we indulge in sadness for a past that we cannot go back to?
97. In the city of Gusu, strolling in the misty rain, I forget that I am just a passerby. I mistakenly believe that I have already lived a thousand years in this city. A thousand years ago, I was the quiet and simple girl brewing tea by the wooden door. This morning, I woke up as if from a dream of Huaxi. The sun is bright and the vibrant spring is already in sight. Life is like this too, with unpredictable weather; there is no season that requires your obsession, nor any story that needs you to bear the burden for a lifetime.
98. If love truly has a divine will, then in our world, there is only one me and only one you. If the blooming of flowers signifies gathering and the falling of flowers signifies parting, then let us choose the season that belongs to us. Without fear of cause and effect, and unafraid of reincarnation. If the beginning is sunny and the end is rainy, will there be another kind of weather called neither sunny nor rainy?
99. Perhaps one day we may forget and grow old, lonely and helpless, as all the stories become mere silhouettes. Plant a Bodhi tree deep within your heart, with just a touch of Zen and a bit of compassion. Then, as time quietly passes by, I will still be me, and you will still be you.
100. People say that carrying a knapsack makes one a passerby; laying down the burden leads to finding one’s hometown. In fact, everyone understands that there is no absolute stability in life. Since we are all passersby, we should carry a calm and indifferent heart, walking through the years of mountains and rivers, and smiling at the rise and fall of the world.
