1、能够成为一个生命，神和气很重要。道家讲精气神，什么是精呢？刚才已经讲过，不要认识错了，全身的细胞、能量，都是精，精气神要合一。
1. To become a living being, essence, energy, and spirit are crucial. Taoism talks about Jing, Qi, and Shen. What is Jing? As mentioned earlier, don’t misunderstand it. All the cells and energy in the body are Jing. Jing, Qi, and Shen should be united.

2、人是莫名其妙的生下来，无可奈何的活着，最后是不知所以然的死掉。
2. People are born inexplicably, live helplessness, and eventually die without understanding why.

3、父母有几百亿家财，能够帮子女买到个聪明的头脑吗？做不到的!智慧不是财产或世间福德所能换来的，是要多生累积福德来的。
3. Can parents with billions of wealth buy their children a smart mind? It cannot be done! Wisdom is not something that can be exchanged for property or worldly blessings; it is accumulated through multiple lives of cultivating blessings.

4、佛学叫这个世界“娑婆世界”，译为“堪忍”，说我们这个世界是缺陷的世界。《易经》也说这个世界是缺陷的，让你有钱就不给你学问，有学问就没有钱；给你子孙满堂，就不给你别样了，所以总是有缺陷不圆满的。
4. Buddhism calls this world the “Saha World,” which means “endurable.” It says that our world is a world of flaws. The I Ching also states that the world is flawed: if you have wealth, you won’t have knowledge; if you have knowledge, you won’t have wealth; if you have many descendants, you won’t have other things, so there is always something missing and incomplete.

5、如果学佛为了求福报而学，求来生怎么样而学，不错，是有这个事，但不是彻底的，所以说人天福德枉成痴。
5. If one studies Buddhism for the sake of blessings and a better future life, yes, there is such a thing, but it is not thorough. That is why it is said that human and heavenly blessings are in vain and lead to foolishness.

6、首先世界上什么都容易学，唯有学佛是最难最难的事；第二重意义啊，人生画虎不成反类犬，老虎没有画成反画成了狗，学佛学不成，我不晓得你变成什么!所以啊，希望先把做人的道理完成，再来搞这个学佛的事。但是既然要学佛了，千万要注意不住于相四个字；一住相，什么都学不成了。
6. First, everything in the world is easy to learn, except for Buddhism, which is the most difficult thing to learn. The second point is that if you try to draw a tiger but fail, you end up drawing a dog. If you study Buddhism and fail, I don’t know what you will become! Therefore, I hope you will first complete the principles of being a good person before engaging in the study of Buddhism. However, since you want to study Buddhism, pay close attention to the four words “do not dwell in forms.” Once you dwell in forms, you won’t be able to learn anything.

7、人不能没有学问，不能没有知识，仅为了学问而钻到牛角尖里去，又有什么用？像这样的学问，我们不大赞成。
7. People cannot lack knowledge or learning, but what’s the use of studying knowledge so deeply that you get stuck in a rut? We don’t quite approve of such learning.

8、头等人，有本事，没脾气；二等人，有本事，有脾气；末等人，没本事，大脾气。
8. First-class people have abilities but no temper; second-class people have abilities and temper; last-class people have no abilities but a big temper.

9、学佛不是要度一切众生吗？善人固然要使，恶人更要度了。好人要爱护，不好的人更值得怜悯。
9. Isn’t Buddhism about saving all sentient beings? Good people should be helped, but evil people need to be saved even more. Good people should be cared for, and those who are not good deserve more compassion.

10、人生该这样过活：佛为心、道为骨、儒为表大度看世界；能在身、技在手、思在脑从容过生活。
10. Life should be lived like this: with Buddha as the heart, Tao as the backbone, and Confucianism as the appearance, generously viewing the world; being skilled in body, skilled in hand, and thoughtful in mind, living a leisurely life.

11、这是最好的时代，也是最坏的时代。西方文化的贡献，促进了物质文明的发达，这在表面上来看，可以说是幸福；坏，是指人们为了生存的竞争而忙碌，为了战争的毁灭而惶恐，为了欲海的难填而烦恼。在精神上，是最痛苦的。在这物质文明发达和精神生活贫乏的尖锐对比下，人类正面临着一个新的危机。
11. This is the best of times and the worst of times. The contribution of Western culture has promoted the development of material civilization, which can be considered happiness on the surface. The bad aspect refers to people’s busyness for survival competition, their fear of war and destruction, and their troubles due to the insatiable desires. Spiritually, it is the most painful. In this sharp contrast between the development of material civilization and the poverty of spiritual life, humanity is facing a new crisis.

12、光读正面的历史是不够的，还要看小说。所谓历史，常常人名、地名、时间都是真的，内容不太靠得住；而小说，是人名、地点、时间都是假的，但那个故事却往往是真的。
12. It is not enough to read only the positive side of history; one should also read novels. So-called history often has real names, places, and times, but the content is not very reliable. In contrast, novels have fake names, locations, and times, but the stories are often true.

13、人生的最高境界是佛为心，道为骨，儒为表，大度看世界。技在手，能在身，思在脑，从容过生活。
13. The highest state of life is to have Buddha as the heart, Tao as the backbone, and Confucianism as the appearance, generously viewing the world. Being skilled in body, skilled in hand, and thoughtful in mind, living a leisurely life.

14、真正的佛学告诉你不要迷信，一切唯心造，是自己造的，生命的主宰还是自己，是自己的前因后果的因果报应。
14. True Buddhism tells you not to be superstitious. Everything is created by the mind, and the master of life is still oneself, subject to one’s own causes and effects, and karmic retribution.

15、一个人内心没有涵养，就会变成色厉内荏，表面满不在乎，而内心非常空虚。其实，大可不必。一个人好就是好，穷就是穷，痛苦就是痛苦。
15. If a person lacks inner cultivation, they will become outwardly strong but inwardly weak, seemingly indifferent on the surface, but with an extremely empty heart. In fact, there is no need for this. A person is good or poor, and feels pain or not, just as it is.

16、中国古人不轻易写书写文章。今日很多的文章、戏剧、新闻，写的是社会坏的一面，对小孩子有很坏的影响，这种文字对社会的影响比杀人还厉害。其实写的人未必有心教人学坏，也有写正面的，但是接受的人不看正面。古人对人类这种心理非常了解，所以下笔非常严谨。
16. Ancient Chinese people did not easily write books or articles. Today, many articles, plays, and news focus on the negative aspects of society, which can have a harmful influence on children. The impact of such writings on society can be more severe than murder. In fact, the authors may not intentionally teach people to be bad, and there are also positive writings, but the audience does not pay attention to them. The ancients understood this aspect of human psychology very well, so they were very cautious when writing.

17、有器度、有见识的人，他虽然从艰苦困难中成长，反而更具有同情心和慷慨好义的胸襟怀抱。因为他懂得人生，知道世情的甘苦。
17. A person with magnanimity and insight, although they grow up through hardships and difficulties, becomes more compassionate and generous. This is because they understand life and know the joys and sorrows of the world.

18、世界上谁最漂亮？每个人自己看自己最漂亮，镜子照了又照，百看不厌，看到年老，还是喜欢，哈!都被幻化所骗。
18. Who is the most beautiful in the world? Everyone thinks they are the most beautiful when they look at themselves in the mirror, never getting tired of it. Even when they grow old, they still like it. Ha! We are all deceived by illusions.

19、有人指出你的烦恼，指出你的业障和染污的心理，自己还不服气，还不肯改，然后还抱住那习气业力的心理，把它当宝贝。唉!就让你去缠绵吧，反正六道轮回也蛮好玩的，多滚几回，我在那边等你就是。
19. When someone points out your troubles, your karmic obstacles, and your polluted mind, you are still unwilling to accept it and refuse to change. Then, you hold on to those habits and karmic forces, treating them as treasures. Alas! Let you continue to be entangled in them. Anyway, the cycle of reincarnation is quite interesting. Roll around a few more times, and I will wait for you on the other side.

20、其实风没有正邪啊!想昨晚《庄子》所讲的多一根指头一样，正邪很难分的；我们生命中不必要存在的，都叫做邪，这个观念先弄清楚。
20. In fact, there is no such thing as good or evil in the wind! Just like the story of having an extra finger in Zhuangzi last night, it is difficult to distinguish between good and evil. First, we need to clarify that anything unnecessary in our lives is called evil.

21、提得起，放得下，才有资格学佛；提得起，放得下，自然就可以成佛。说般若境界，一切万缘放下，诸恶莫作，众善奉行，修一切善法。做到了一切提得起，修一切福德，福德不是世间上的福报喔!一个人要悟道成佛是要大福报的!真正的智慧也是需要大福报的，不是世间的福报所能成的。
21. Only those who can pick up and let go are qualified to learn Buddhism; those who can pick up and let go can naturally become Buddhas. Speaking of the realm of wisdom, let go of all attachments, do not commit any evil, practice all good deeds, and cultivate all good practices. If you achieve the ability to pick up everything and cultivate all virtues, virtues are not worldly blessings! To attain enlightenment and become a Buddha, one needs great blessings! True wisdom also requires great blessings, which cannot be achieved by worldly blessings.

22、我们学佛的根本是什么？一切宗教都是一样，都是：诸恶莫作，众善奉行，这是第一个起步。如果不修一切的善法，光想求开悟，那就是青蛙跳井了，噗通!那不是悟啦，那个是自误，聪明反被聪明误。
22. What is the foundation of learning Buddhism? All religions are the same: do not commit any evil and practice all good deeds. This is the first step. If you do not cultivate all good practices and only seek enlightenment, it is like a frog jumping into a well, splash! That is not enlightenment; it is self-deception. Intelligence is counterproductive.

23、所以我常告诉青年同学们，一个人先要养成会享受寂寞，那你就差不多了，可以了解人生了，才体会到人生更高远的一层境界。这才会看到鸿福是厌烦的。佛经上说，一个学佛的人，你首先观察他有没有发起厌离心，也就是说厌烦世间的鸿福，对鸿福有厌离心，才是走向学佛之路。
23. I often tell young students that if a person first learns to enjoy solitude, then they are almost there, understanding life and experiencing a higher realm of life. Only then can they see that worldly blessings are tiresome. The Buddhist scriptures say that when observing a person who learns Buddhism, you should first see if they have developed a sense of renunciation, that is, being tired of worldly blessings. Having a sense of renunciation towards worldly blessings is the path to learning Buddhism.

24、禅宗不但不立文字，而且以无相、无门为门，换言之，禅宗也是以无境界为境界，摆脱宗教形式主义，而着重禅法修证的真正精神，升华人生的意境，而进入纯清绝点、空灵无相而无不是相的境界。
24. Not only does Zen not rely on written words, but it also uses formlessness and gatelessness as its gate. In other words, Zen also takes the state of no realm as its realm, getting rid of religious formalism and focusing on the true spirit of Zen practice and cultivation, sublimating the artistic conception of life, and entering a pure and clear, formless and yet full of forms state.

25、我们人生只有十二个字：“看得破，忍不过；想得到，做不来。”
25. Our life can be summarized in twelve words: “Can see through, but cannot let go; can think of, but cannot do.”

26、生命，只在被欲望迷乱了的人心中，才一定要分出尊卑高下。不争，是人生至境。
26. Life only needs to distinguish between high and low, noble and humble in the hearts of those who are confused by desires. Not competing is the ultimate state of life.

27、佛学的中心是修证，但是现代全世界都把它当成一种思想学问，几乎与唯物论不分，严重曲解了缘起性空，认为空就是什么都没有。没有可不是空噢!没有是断见!
27. The center of Buddhism is practice and realization, but the whole world today treats it as a kind of intellectual learning, almost indistinguishable from materialism, seriously distorting the concept of dependent origination and emptiness, and believing that emptiness means nothing. Nothing is not emptiness! Nothing is a fallacy!

28、在艰苦中成长成功之人，往往由于心理的阴影，会导致变态的偏差。这种偏差，便是对社会、对人们始终有一种仇视的敌意，不相信任何一个人，更不同情任何一个人。爱钱如命的悭吝，还是心理变态上的次要现象。相反的，有器度、有见识的人，他虽然从艰苦困难中成长，反而更具有同情心和慷慨好义的胸襟怀抱。因为他懂得人生，知道世情的甘苦。
28. Those who grow and succeed in hardships often develop a psychological shadow, leading to abnormal deviations. These deviations manifest as hostility and distrust towards society and people, without believing or sympathizing with anyone. Avarice for money is a secondary phenomenon of psychological abnormality. On the contrary, those with breadth of mind and insight, despite growing up in hardships, possess more compassion and generosity. They understand the essence of life and the bittersweetness of the world.

29、长城万里今犹在，谁见当年秦始皇。
29. The Great Wall still stands today, but who has seen the Emperor Qin Shi Huang of the past?

30、智慧不是财产或世间福德所能换来的，是要多生累积福德来的。
30. Wisdom cannot be obtained through wealth or worldly blessings; it is accumulated through multiple lives of virtue.

31、夫妇本是前缘，善缘、恶缘，无缘不合。儿女原是宿债，欠债、还债，有债方来。
31. Husband and wife are bound by past karma, whether good or bad, and without any connection, they would not come together. Children are considered as debts from past lives, coming to collect or repay what is owed.

32、一个学大乘菩萨道的人，应该是这个样子来布施来修行，应该不住相，一切现象不留，心中若留一点现象，已经不是学佛的境界了。
32. A person practicing the Mahayana Bodhisattva path should practice and give without attachment to any form, leaving no trace in the mind. If even a trace remains, it is not the state of learning Buddhism.

33、十九世纪威胁人类最大的疾病是肺炎，二十世纪威胁人类最大的是癌症，二十一世纪威胁人类最大的是精神病。现在是精神病开始的时代了，我发现很多年轻的孩子们精神都有问题了，归结起来是教育的问题。一个国家、社会的兴衰成败，重点在文化，在教育。
33. The greatest threat to humanity in the 19th century was pneumonia, in the 20th century it was cancer, and in the 21st century, it is mental illness. The era of mental illness has begun, and I have noticed many young people with mental problems. The root cause lies in education. The rise and fall of a nation and society depends on culture and education.

34、佛学像百货店，里面百货杂陈，样样俱全，有钱有时间，就可去逛逛。逛了买东西也可，不买东西也可，根本不去逛也可以，但是社会需要它。
34. Buddhism is like a department store, with a variety of goods available. You can visit, buy something, or not buy anything at all. You can even choose not to visit, but society still needs it.

35、我们中国传统文化，最怕一辈子太享福，太顺利，太平安了。没有忧患意识，像吃了毒药一样，把自己毒死了。
35. Our Chinese traditional culture fears a lifetime of too much happiness, smoothness, and peace. Without awareness of potential dangers, it is like poisoning oneself.

36、政治、军事、外交都是没有善恶是非的，只有利害关系。怎么临时处理，要懂得应变。但是要注意，虽然没有善恶是非，都还是有因果的。
36. Politics, military, and diplomacy have no inherent good or evil, only relationships of interest. How to handle situations temporarily requires adaptability. However, remember that despite the lack of good or evil, there are still consequences.

37、佛学像百货店，有钱有闲，可去逛逛，逛了买东西也可，根本不逛也可，但社会需要它；道家像药店，它包括了兵家、纵横家的思想，乃至天文、地理、医药，一个国家、民族生病，非去这个药店不可；儒家的孔孟思想是粮店，是天天要吃的，要深切了解中国文化历史的演变、将来怎么办，就要研究四书。
37. Buddhism is like a department store, available for those with money and leisure; Taoism is like a pharmacy, including military, diplomatic, and even astronomical and geographical knowledge. When a nation or ethnicity is in trouble, they must visit this pharmacy; Confucianism, with the thoughts of Confucius and Mencius, is like a grocery store, essential for daily sustenance. To understand the evolution of Chinese culture and history and determine the future, one must study the Four Books.

38、今日的世界，物质文明发达，在表面上来看，是历史上最幸福的時代；但是人们为了生存的竞争而忙碌，为了战争的毁灭而惶恐，为了欲海的难填而烦恼。在精神上，也可以说是历史上最痛苦的时代。人是莫名其妙的生下来，无可奈何的活着，最后是不知所以然的死掉。
38. Today’s world, with its advanced material civilization, appears to be the happiest era in history. However, people are busy competing for survival, living in fear of war and destruction, and suffering from insatiable desires. In spirit, it can also be considered the most painful era in history. People are born without reason, live helplessly, and eventually die without understanding why.

39、学问不是文学，文章好是这个人的文学好；知识渊博，是这个人的知识渊博；至于学问，哪怕不认识一个字，也可能有学问——作人好，做事对，绝对的好，绝对的对，这就是学问。
39. Scholarship is not the same as literature. Good writing indicates a person’s literary talent; extensive knowledge signifies a person’s depth of learning. As for scholarship, even someone who is illiterate can possess it – being good in character and doing things right, absolutely right, is true scholarship.

40、真正学佛的人先要发出离心。出离什么地方？出离三界，是跳出尘网之心，如果连出离心都没有发起，还自称在学佛，那就是自欺欺人。
40. Those who truly study Buddhism must first develop a desire to leave the mundane world. Leaving where? Leaving the Three Realms, escaping the worldly entanglements. If one does not even have the desire to leave, and still claims to be learning Buddhism, it is self-deception.

41、我们经常说，不要以有所得之心，求无所得之果；大家来学佛，都抱一个有所得的心，求得一个无所得之果，那是基本错误。佛就说：当时我得一个无所得的境界，了不可得，所以然灯佛给我授记。
41. We often say, do not seek the fruit of gain with a heart of gain; everyone comes to learn Buddhism with a heart of gain, seeking the fruit of no gain, which is a fundamental mistake. Buddha said: At that time, I achieved a state of nothingness,无可得 (nothing can be obtained), that’s why the Buddha Dipamkara foretold my enlightenment.

42、学道要营养好，休息得够，才能用功，人家问我闭关做啥!睡觉。一进关房先睡七八天，以后不要睡了，一坐就用功了。尤其是夜里十一点以后一定要睡觉，烂睡一卧，那才会有精神。
42. To learn the way, one must have good nutrition and enough rest to be diligent. People ask me what I do during my seclusion. Sleep. As soon as I enter the room, I sleep for seven or eight days, and then I won’t sleep anymore. Once I sit down, I will be diligent. Especially after 11 pm, one must sleep well,烂睡一卧 (sleep soundly), in order to have energy.

43、这是最好的时代，也是最坏的时代。西方文化的贡献，促进了物质文明的发达，这在表面上来看，可以说是幸福；坏，是指人们为了生存的竞争而忙碌，为了战争的毁灭而惶恐，为了欲海的难填而烦恼。在精神上，是最痛苦的。人类正面临着一个新的危机。
43. This is the best of times, and the worst of times. The contribution of Western culture has promoted the development of material civilization, which can be considered happiness on the surface; the bad part refers to people’s busyness for survival competition, their fear for the destruction of war, and their troubles for the insatiable desires. Spiritually, it is the most painful. Humanity is facing a new crisis.

44、常有人问我，为什么能有这么好的学问，我都实实在在告诉人家，这都是我十三岁以前熟背这些古书的效果。
44. People often ask me why I have such good knowledge. I sincerely tell them that it is the result of memorizing these ancient books before I was thirteen years old.

45、一个人是应该清高的，但有人是苟求清高，或者为了标榜自己清高，因此只好忍痛牺牲。那就大可不必，这就不平凡，不平凡不是真涵养的精神。
45. A person should be noble, but some people seek nobility, or to show off their nobility, so they have to painfully sacrifice. There is no need for that, it is not ordinary, and being extraordinary is not the true spirit of self-cultivation.

46、良医终不救无病之人；导师亦不引识路之者。佳肴美膳，岂可劝饱人之餐；异宝奇珍，未必动廉士之念。今天的世界惟科技马首是瞻，人格养成没有了，都是乱的不成器的，教育只是贩卖知识，这是根本乱源，是苦恼之源。只有科学、科技、哲学、宗教、文艺、人格养成教育回归一体，回归本位，均衡发展，才有希望。
46. Good doctors never treat those who are not sick; mentors do not guide those who know the way. How can one persuade a full person to eat delicious food? The rarest treasures may not move the minds of incorruptible people. Today’s world only looks to science and technology, with no character cultivation, all in disarray and不成器 (useless), education is just selling knowledge, this is the root of chaos and the source of suffering. Only when science, technology, philosophy, religion, literature, and character education return to unity, return to their positions, and develop in balance, there is hope.

47、什么叫做事业呢？孔子《易经系传》叫做；举而措之天下之民，谓之事业。一个人，一辈子，做一件事情，对社会大众有贡献，对国家民族，对整个的社会，都是一种贡献，这才算是事业。
47. What is a career? Confucius in the “I Ching” calls it; to take action and place it among the people of the world, that is a career. A person, in a lifetime, does one thing that contributes to the public, the nation, the ethnicity, and the entire society, that is a career.

48、世界上任何人，一辈子只做三件事，不是自欺，就是欺人，再不然就是被人欺。你看世界上的人，能不能逃出这三样事？能逃出了这三样的话，就跳出三界外了。
48. Anyone in the world does only three things in their lifetime, either deceiving themselves, deceiving others, or being deceived by others. Can people in the world escape these three things? If one can escape these three, they will jump out of the Three Realms.

49、道为古，儒为表，大度看世界。技在手，能在身，思在脑，从容过生活。
49. Taoism is ancient, Confucianism is the appearance, look at the world with a broad mind. Skills in hand, abilities in body, thoughts in the brain, live life calmly.

50、但愿此情长久，哪里分地北天南。
50. May this sentiment last forever, regardless of the distance between the north and the south.

51、如果要问，世界啥时才能实现天下太平世界大同呢？我说，人类也许永远不会实现。假使人类真有这么个社会出来，就是宇宙毁灭的时候。
51. If asked, when will the world achieve universal peace and harmony? I say, humanity may never achieve it. If humanity ever achieves such a society, it would be the time for the universe to perish.

52、人之所以不能得道，就是被两样东西困住了，一个是空间观念，一个是时间观念。
52. The reason why people cannot achieve the Tao is that they are trapped by two things, one is the concept of space, and the other is the concept of time.

53、“终身逌然，不知荣辱之在彼也，在我也”，这就是人生哲学。人为什么要外面人讲你好，你才觉得自己好呢？外面跟我毫不相干，在我自己，我认为好就好，爱笑就笑，爱哭就哭，跟别人毫不相干。
53. “To live a lifetime at ease, without knowing the difference between honor and disgrace, whether it comes from others or myself,” this is the philosophy of life. Why do people need others to speak well of them to feel good about themselves? Others have nothing to do with me, in my own self, if I think it’s good, it’s good, laugh if I want to laugh, cry if I want to cry, it has nothing to do with others.

54、学医的人真要有一种菩萨心肠，一种济世救人的精神，而且不怕贫穷，不怕艰苦，那才是真正研究生命科学，真正的学医。
54. Those who study medicine must have a Bodhisattva heart, a spirit of saving the world and helping others, and not be afraid of poverty or hardship. That is the true study of life science, the true practice of medicine.

55、立身不求无患，身无患则贪欲必生；处世不求无难，世无难则骄奢必起；谋事不求易成，事易成则志存轻慢；施德不求望报，德望报则意有所图。
55. In life, do not seek to be free from problems; if there are no problems, greed will surely arise. In dealing with the world, do not seek to be free from difficulties; if there are no difficulties, arrogance and extravagance will surely emerge. In planning, do not seek easy success; if success comes easily, complacency and disrespect will arise. In giving, do not seek rewards; if you seek rewards, your intentions become selfish.

56、你能不取于相，魔也是佛；著相了，佛也是魔。
56. If you can let go of appearances, demons are also Buddhas; if you become attached to appearances, Buddhas are also demons.

57、学佛的人不应该犯这个错误，因为是无有定法可说，所以真正的佛法能包涵一切，一切贤圣，皆以无为法而有差别。真理只有一个，没有两个，不过他认识真理的一点，认为这一点才是对的，其它错的，其实是他错了。真正到达了佛境界是包容万象，也否定了万象，也建立了万象，这是佛境界。
57. Those who study Buddhism should not make this mistake, for there is no fixed method to speak of. Therefore, the true Dharma can encompass everything. All sages have differences based on the non-action method. There is only one truth, not two, but when people recognize a small part of it, they think that part is right and the rest is wrong. In fact, they are the ones who are wrong. When one truly reaches the Buddha’s realm, it includes everything, negates everything, and establishes everything. This is the Buddha’s realm.

58、真正的修行不只在山上，也不只在庙里，更需要在社会中。要在修行中生活，在生活中修行。
58. True cultivation is not only on the mountain or in the temple but also in society. One must cultivate while living and live while cultivating.

It is better to forget both, not to be attached to truth or falsehood, good or evil, beauty or ugliness, and thus gain the mysterious way and be free and at ease.

66、所以佛说世界上一切都是有为法，有为法都不实在。但是有为法，体是无为，用是有为。所以我们想在有为法中，求无为之道，是背道而驰；因此一切修持都是无用。并不是把有为法切断了以后，才能证道；有为法，本来都在无为中，所以无为之道，就在有为现象中观察，观察清楚才能见道。

However, the essence of conditioned phenomena is unconditioned, while their function is conditioned. It is not by cutting off conditioned phenomena that one can realize the truth; conditioned phenomena are inherently within the unconditioned. Therefore, the path of the unconditioned lies in observing the conditioned phenomena, and only by observing clearly can one see the truth.
