xiǎo zhù jīng huá zǎo yòu shì zhōng qiū jiā jié
小 住 京 华 ， 早 又 是 ， 中 秋 佳 节 。
I briefly reside in Beijing, and soon it is the Mid-Autumn Festival.

wèi lí xià huáng huā kāi biàn qiū róng rú shì
为 篱 下 ， 黄 花 开 遍 ， 秋 容 如 拭 。
Beneath the fence, yellow flowers bloom everywhere, and the autumn scenery is pristine.

sì miàn gē cán zhōng pò chǔ
四 面 歌 残 终 破 楚 ，
Songs from all sides fade, eventually breaking through the Chu state,

bā nián fēng wèi tú sī zhè
八 年 风 味 徒 思 浙 。
Eight years of flavor, I vainly reminisce about Zhejiang.

kǔ jiāng nóng qiáng pài zuò é méi shū wèi xiè
苦 将 侬 ， 强 派 作 蛾 眉 ，殊 未 屑 ！
Bitterly, I am forced to be an eyebrow girl, yet I am not even close!

shēn bù dé nán ér liè xīn què bǐ nán ér liè
身 不 得 ， 男 儿 列 。 心 却 比 ， 男 儿 烈 ！
My body cannot be among the ranks of men, but my heart is even more fierce than a man’s!

suàn píng shēng gān dǎn yīn rén cháng rè
算 平 生 肝 胆 ， 因 人 常 热 。
Throughout my life, my courage and loyalty have been fueled by others.

sú zǐ xiōng jīn shuí shí wǒ
俗 子 胸 襟 谁 识 我 ？
Who can understand my ambitions and aspirations among the commoners?

yīng xióng mò lù dāng mó zhé
英 雄 末 路 当 磨 折 。
At the end of the hero’s journey, there is suffering and tribulation.

mǎng hóng chén hé chù mì zhī yīn qīng shān shī
莽 红 尘 ， 何 处 觅 知 音 ？ 青 衫 湿 ！
In this vast, chaotic world, where can I find a confidant? My green robe is wet with tears!
