Searching and seeking, cold and clear.

When the weather turns warm yet still cold,
zhà nuǎn huán hán shí hòu zuì nán jiāng xī
It’s hardest to find peace and rest.

Three cups and two lamps of light wine,
zěn dí tā wǎn lái fēng jí
How can it compete with the urgent wind in the evening?

The geese pass by, just breaking my heart,

They are the acquaintances from the old days.
mǎn dì huáng huā duī jī
Piles of yellow flowers cover the ground,
qiáo cuì sǔn rú jīn yǒu shuí kān zhāi
Haggard and worn, who can pick them now?
shǒu zhe chuāng ér dú zì zěn shēng dé hēi
Guarding the window, how can I live through the darkness alone?

The parasol trees are accompanied by fine rain, as dusk falls, drop by drop.
zhè cì dì zěn yī gè chóu zì liǎo dé
This sequence, how can a single word “sadness” be enough to describe!
