shè nán shè běi jiē chūn shuǐ
舍 南 舍 北 皆 春 水 ，
South and north of the cottage are spring waters,

dàn jiàn qún ōu rì rì lái
但 见 群 鸥 日 日 来 。
Only seeing flocks of seagulls coming daily.

huā jìng bù céng yuán kè sǎo
花 径 不 曾 缘 客 扫 ，
The flower-lined path has never been swept for guests,

péng mén jīn shǐ wèi jūn kāi
蓬 门 今 始 为 君 开 。
The humble door now opens for you, my lord.

pán sūn shì yuǎn wú jiān wèi
盘 飧 市 远 无 兼 味 ，
The meal is simple, for the market is far and no delicacies are found,

zūn jiǔ jiā pín zhǐ jiù pēi
樽 酒 家 贫 只 旧 醅 。
The wine is plain, as my family is poor, only old brew is available.

kěn yǔ lín wēng xiāng duì yǐn
肯 与 邻 翁 相 对 饮 ，
Would you be willing to drink with the old neighbor,

gé lí hū qǔ jìn yú bēi
隔 篱 呼 取 尽 馀 杯 。
